Anxiety and Insomnia: Amy "I came to see Hilary when I was feeling very desperate, suffering with bad anxiety and insomnia that was making it difficult for me to function and work.
I had tried numerous things to no avail, including antidepressants. Although I was sceptical at first, through the sessions, Hilary helped me to see that there were ways I could work with my anxiety, that it is caused by processes learnt by the brain that can be 'unlearnt' and showed me how to use a variety of tools to do this. Importantly she also helped me to develop more self compassion and not feel ashamed of suffering from this illness. I am amazed by how helpful it has been and would recommend Hilary to anyone suffering with anxiety. I am now happy in a new job and feel more in control of my life."
Nervous habits: Jo Roberts "I decided to embark on some hypnotherapy to see if it would help cure a nervous habit I had of picking at the skin around my thumbs until it became very painful and sore, sometimes bleeding. I had been doing this for about 15 years but got to the point where people were noticing and sometimes it would end up bleeding. I thought how nice it would be if I didn't have to do it anymore, along with the nervous energy which was aiding the habit. I had no idea what to expect, or whether it would even work, but Hilary is obviously very well qualified and knows her stuff. Everything was clearly explained right from the beginning so that I knew what was happening and why. She dealt with the underlying issues as well as the annoying habit itself. After a short course of treatments, I am pleased to say I now have lovely smooth skin around my thumbs and nice long nails, as they don't keep breaking from constantly picking at the skin! Along with this, I feel I'm not carrying as much nervous energy as before and have learnt how to be more relaxed and focused in everyday life."

Julie "I saw Hilary for a number of individual sessions to get help with overcoming some symptoms of anxiety and feeling low. The guided relaxations and visualisations particularly helped me become calmer and more relaxed in my daily life.
